Luncheon at the Hawthorne Hotel for Group 5G
On Tuesday, May 26th, a nattily-attired Group 5G will raise etiquette and manners to a new level while lunching at the Hawthorne Hotel in Salem. Students will dine on three courses- a salad, an entree, and dessert- in an elegant setting, using appropriate utensils, and while making scintillating conversation with each other. After hearing about our 'civility' project, the Hawthorne Hotel was very accomodating; their dining room is not open during the week and they usually have a charge for setting up a room. They were so impressed with our goal, that they are not only giving us a room free of charge, but they tailored the menu to what the students wanted, and our party will be announced via the announcement board as we enter the Hawthorne! The cost per student is $20 which includes the tax and a gratuity!
