Science Fiction/Fantasy Stories start 2/23/09

TWO handouts for parents and students will be given out on Wed., 2/18/09, with one copy to be kept at home and one to be signed and returned to the teacher. This handout outlines the process of putting together a 10 to 50 page science fiction or fantasy story, and the timeline for completion of each step of the project. Students will be working in class and at home to revise and refine their drafts with help from peer editing. Teachers have graciously consented to judge blind copies of students' work for our first, second and third place finalists. All students will receive a certificate for particpation.
